The Leadership Team

Leon Burda
Managing Partner

Leon Burda is the Managing Partner at M&A Funeral Group. He is the founder of Burda Ventures (BV), a boutique investment bank specializing in Deeptech, Fintech, & High Risk M&A transactions. BV has done over $4 billion dollars in transactions over its lifetime and Leon personally has had 4 successful exits from software and service-based businesses.

Before his venture into finance he grew and consulted for advanced manufacturing companies securing contracts from the DoD, Airforce, Raytheon, Toyota, GE, and Northrop Grumman among others.

Now within MAFG, Leon leads the evaluation and acquisition of funeral homes. He oversees investment strategy, due diligence, and legal compliance to make sure every acquisition aligns with the firm's vision for long-term, sustainable growth.

Brennen Jackson
President | Head of M&A

Brennen Jackson is the President & Head of M&A for M&A Funeral Group. Mr. Jackson has always been a visionary and worked on building meaningful businesses.

Prior to joining MAFG, Mr. Jackson built, scaled, and sold MMI Industries, a recruitment company that was 364% more effective than its competitors.

Within MAFG Mr. Jackson is responsible for our growth through acquisition and collaborating with owners to plan their succession. Mr. Jackson holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Denver.

Pierre Keyser
Chief Executive Officer

Pierre Keyser, CEO of M&A Funeral Group, he has over 30 years of experience in guiding family-run businesses through successful acquisitions. Mr. Keyser has achieved significant growth and success in each venture, having successfully exited from 4 roll-ups. Keyser consolidated the market segment and became the largest retailer of luxury optical goods in the US with LOH, grew AOS to over 140 locations, and led Lookmatic to become a major player in the online eyewear market.

With his unique ability to grow small businesses and guide them through successful acquisitions, Mr. Keyser brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to MAFG. He has a proven track record of identifying growth opportunities, building strong management teams, and creating value for investors. His strategic vision and hands-on approach have made him a respected leader in the industry.

Gerlyn Fortuna
Operations Manager

Gerlyn Fortuna serves as the Operations Manager at M&A Funeral Group, where she plays a key role in driving organizational excellence and strengthening company-wide systems. Ms. Fortuna partners closely with the executive team to design and implement scalable processes that enhance efficiency, accountability, and communication across all departments.

With a strong focus on leadership development, team alignment, and operational strategy, she leads initiatives that streamline workflows, optimize financial and administrative systems, and foster a culture of compassion, structure, and performance. Ms. Fortuna’s leadership contributes directly to MAFG’s mission of delivering consistent, meaningful service to the families they serve.
